Way back in 2002 - I can't believe that's almost 20 years ago! I volunteered at the Manchester Commonwealth Games, an amazing experience. Then was fortunate enough to participate in the closing ceremony in the massed bands of around 300 musicians conducted by Dr. David King. It rained like you wouldn't believe, typical Manchester weather, but the experience was incredible to be a part of.
