Dedicated to my friend and Australasian Champion Fendall Hill, Luciferous is a fiercely challenging duet for Soprano Cornet and Baritone (or Euphonium) with piano accompaniment.
Conceived during yet more COVID lockdowns the idea was originally that Fendall and I would meet up at the 2021 NZ National Contest and quickly record the duet, however that didn't work out and we ended up doing a socially distanced version accompanied by a computerised piano playback for the initial performance, which you can hear here .
I am now also wondering is it a first? Are there actually any other published duets for Soprano Cornet and Baritone??
