The Grave Warrior for Brass Sextet Featuring Bass Trombone

The Grave Warrior for Brass Sextet Featuring Bass Trombone

I am delighted to release The Grave Warrior for brass sextet, featuring Bass Trombone. Of course the part can be played by an Eb Bass but my intention for this piece was always that the Bass Trombone be prominent in the work.

It is dedicated to my friend and fellow musician at Waitakere Auckland Brass Band Andrew Lile, former Coldstream Guardsman, New Zealand Navy Musician, and all round 'nice guy'.

The work takes its title from the 17th century meaning of the word "Grave" meaning low in tone or pitch and the word "Warrior" deriving from a Greek translation of "Andrew".  Perfect for a Bass Trombonist called Andrew!
