The lockdown has provided us all with challenges, many of which will impact long beyond the actual duration of the restrictions, however it has also given us the opportunity to do things we usually perhaps don't find time for.
For me this has included making lots of new banding and musical friends on Facebook, writing more music, and organsing some data which in turn has yielded some almost forgotten gems like this recording from 1994 of me playing The Way We Were as a baritone solo with Black Dyke Mills band.

The accompanying photos reflect just some of my wonderful memories from my times with the amazing Black Dyke Mills Band, one of the world's finest. It was such an honour and privilege to be a part of the band on two separate periods. Firstly in 1990 under David King when the band traveled to Japan, and also won the European Championships with a remarkable 99 out of 100 in both European test pieces. Then again in 1994/5 under James Watson when the band won the Nationals and also recorded a mammoth 6 CD's in as many months.
Wonderful memories of 'The Way We Were'.
