EMI Classics audio CD release containing legendary recordings by the English cellist Jacqueline du Pré of the Elgar Cello Concerto & The Dvorak Cello Concerto.

The Dvořák concerto is performed alongside the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim; the Elgar concerto features the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir John Barbirolli.

The Elgar recording, taped in August 1965 at Kingsway Hall, is widely considered one of the definitive classical music recordings of the 20th century.
